Travel risks for humanitarian work or missionary work are higher than those for typical international tourism. Humanitarian work often involves prolonged stays in more remote locations. The work also involves close contact with local populations. All of these factors increase the likelihood of being injured or contracting infectious illnesses such as malaria, tuberculosis or rabies. Longer stays in country also increase the likelihood that you will need medical care while abroad. At Voyager Medical, we appreciate the sacrifices and challenges of humanitarian and missionary efforts and will work with you to insure that you are fully prepared. Our initial consultation fees are waived, and we can provide additional consultative services if needed while you are abroad.
